Pops of Color
This fall and winter it’s been all about the darker lip colors and metallic shades on the lids of beauties everywhere. But for 2017 it looks like there’s going to be pops of color happening all over the place with makeup. From color on eyelids to lips…it’s all about that pop in the new year. And we’re not just talking about a bold pink or red lip, colors ranging from yellow to orange and bright pink tones were all over the models walking the runway shows for 2017. In addition, we saw some 80’s vibes coming back with makeup with models wearing brighter blush higher up on the cheekbones than we’ve had experienced in recent years. And let’s face it… after the winter months, most of us are ready to add some bolder, lighter colors to our looks to brighten things up a bit after the dreary weather passes.
Deep Side Parts
We’ve been down with the middle parts for a couple years now, and this isn’t to say the middle part is going anywhere anytime soon there was a LOT of deep side part looks walking down the runways for 2017 shows. Whether wearing your hair down and straight or pinning some of the hair back, it was definitely all about the dramatic side part hairstyles. The great news is… it’s a really easy hairstyle trend to adapt. Plus, it’s a really flattering part for anyone to rock.
All About the Braids
Braids have definitely been getting some love in 2016 (thanks to the Kardashians), and it doesn’t seem that the braid love is going anywhere in 2017. We saw a lot of different braided hairstyles strutting down the runways for the 2017 shows and personally… we’re all about it. The really fun thing is while we’ve seen a lot of different braided hairstyles in recent years they’ve been more about the boho vibe braids…this year it’s going to be a bit different. The runway shows had tighter braided hairstyles rocking on the models and adding braids in interesting ways like a little braid underneath a traditional bun hairstyle (for example). It’s going to be a year to really have fun incorporating braids in unique ways to create almost an edgy vibe with them.
